Detroit Lions inside linebacker Stephen Tulloch injured his knee in yesterday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. The injury happened after he sacked Aaron Rodgers as he got up to celebrate. Early fears by the team is that it could be an ACL injury but details were not fully known after the game. Tulloch underwent an MRI today to determine what the injury actually is, and the prognosis for how long he will be out of action. The MRI confirmed a torn ACL. He will be placed on injured reserve later today.
In his absence, star linebacker DeAndre Levy played the middle linebacker spot and played real well. He is the likely candidate to take over that spot although coach Jim Caldwell would not commit to that yet saying he wants to look at all of his options first.
