Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh
Ndamukong Suh was in attendance today for OTAs (Organized Team Activities). There were all sorts of rumors swirling that he was not in attendance for the voluntary camp due to contract talks and that he did not want to be in Detroit. Detroit reporters discounted those rumors stating that he never attends voluntary camps and would be in attendance for the required team activities. While OTAs are not required, Suh was still in attendance.
Dominic Raiola spoke yesterday and mentioned that Suh would be there today. He also referenced that Suh was working out on his own. We found out that while Suh was not working out with the team, he was working out in Allen Park at the team’s facilities. We also found out that he has been in contact with new head coach Jim Caldwell this offseason contrary to rumors previously. While none of this is a big surprise, it should dispel the belief that Suh is becoming a distraction, that he does not want to be here, and that he is holding out. The truth is, he is doing what he always does in preparation for the new season, and given how well he’s played thus far, he should be allowed to without questioning his character.
