The Detroit Lions made a slew of moves today. They released defensive end Vaughn Martin to bring the roster down to 88 (Friday they released Kourtnei Brown to drop them from 90 to 89). They made two signings today as well. They signed Cody Wilson, wide receiver from Central Michigan. They also signed defensive end Kalonji Kashama from Eastern Michigan. All three moves were reported by both Dave Birkett and Detroit Lions reporter Tim Twentyman as shown below.
With these moves being made, it shows that the workouts they conducted last week were feelers and while moves could still happen, especially for Derek Landri, they are not likely to happen soon. This also means that the June first cuts did not yield anyone that the Lions felt they could not live without.
