The Detroit Lions are expected to place tight end Joseph Fauria on season ending IR. The move will free up a spot for the team to sign Kellen Davis. Fauria, who injured his ankle a month or so ago while chasing his puppy, aggravated the injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s game. He continued to play for the rest of the game with the injury but had a walking boot on the leg after the game and had a noticeable limp. Prior to Sunday’s game, Fauria’s been a non-factor this season for the Lions. On Sunday, however, he recorded his first touchdown of the season. Fauria stated on his Instagram account that he will be back better than he’s ever been next season.
