In shocking news today, the Detroit Lions discovered that tackle Corey Hilliard’s leg injury was more serious than expected. He is expected to be placed on injured reserve later today. According to reporter Dave Birkett, Hilliard suffered a lisfranc injury. Earlier in the week, Hilliard thought he just twisted his ankle and he expected to be back soon. Unfortunately for both Hilliard and the Lions, the lisfranc injury is much more serious.
So what should we expect now? Well the team signed Garrett Reynolds earlier today to fill Hilliard’s spot. They are currently looking into a corner to fill Bill Bentley’s spot. I should clarify though that Reynolds was signed using Bentley’s roster spot, and the corner will be added using Hilliard’s spot once he officially hits the injured reserve list.
