The Detroit Lions announce that they have suspended defensive tackle CJ Mosely for violation of an unspecified team rule. The suspension was announced Saturday afternoon, and they had announced that he was sent home from London as a result. At this time the actions that caused his suspension are not yet known. The length of the suspension is also unclear. The team announced that Mosely was placed on the NFL’s reserve / suspended list, which left a roster spot open. The team filled that spot by re-promoting safety Jerome Couplin from the practice squad to the active roster. The move to suspend Mosely leaves the Lions with a mere 3 active defensive tackles for their game against Atlanta in London.
