The Detroit Lions added Jerome Couplin back to their roster, this time on the practice squad. Couplin cleared waivers after the Lions released him a few days ago and he was expected to be re-added to the practice squad. The team flew William Powell home from London and released him from the team to make room for Couplin on the practice squad. Coach Jim Caldwell mentioned that the move to add Couplin was due to a need at that position for practice purposes. With his youth and potential it was impossible to think the Lions would simply set Couplin walk this soon. Couplin will be flown into London and join the team in Bagshot for practice later today.
