Detroit Lions Release Jordan Thompson And Jerome Couplin

The Detroit Lions have released tight end Jordan Thompson and safety Jerome Couplin from the active roster today.  The moves were made to free up two roster spots.  With two open practice squad spots, both players are expected to land there after they clear waivers.  The moves open up a spot for CJ Mosely to re-join the team from suspension and for Kyle Van Noy to be activated from the short term IR list.
