Detroit Lions Re-Sign Daryl Tapp
|
The Detroit Lions have quietly re-signed defensive end Daryl Tapp. Tapp, who was signed on a 1 year deal last season, was a regular contributor to a very good defensive line. Tapp also has the ability to play outside linebacker in a 3-4 system which the Lions could switch to if needed. Given the news about Suh not getting the franchise tag, the move to re-sign Tapp is not surprising. The deal is a 1 year deal for less than a million, so he is cheap enough to let go of if he is not needed long term. Overall, this was a good move, and I would anticipate more coming in the next few days.
