It is currently unclear if the Detroit Lions are making room for someone or if they are starting roster cuts early, but yesterday they parted ways with corner Drayton Florence. Florence, who played last season with Carolina, was a veteran with solid experience in the league. When it came down to it though, the Lions felt that they were better off with their current staff at the corner position and he would not upgrade the position at all. The move comes just 12 days after signing him.
At the moment, the Detroit Lions have not made any waiver claim attempts or signed anyone to fill that spot. It is possible that they still could make a move, but with roster cuts coming up real soon, they probably won’t make any moves.
