The Detroit Lions are battling some injury issues this offseason. In a previous post I had mentioned that Martin Mayhew was concerned about a toe injury that Chris Houston has been dealing with possibly preventing him from returning to form. Today his father Larry confirmed that Houston has had surgery on the toe and is recovering from it now. It is unclear how long he will be out, but considering the concern over the injury, it is good he got it taken care of now instead of mid season.
Prior to the draft, Joique Bell tweeted a picture of his knee wrapped up. It is unclear what injury he may have sustained and Martin Mayhew was unhappy with Bell’s revelation of the injury, but considering the little information about it, it is likely minor and will be healed by training camp.
