The Detroit Lions Have had a busy couple of weeks since the owners meetings. They signed former New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley to be their punt returner and slot receiver. They signed former Jets corner Darrin Walls to be a backup to Darius Slay and Nevin Lawson on the outside. Today it was announced through Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that the Lions are signing interior lineman Geoff Schwartz from the New York Giants. All three players were signed on one year deals worth around 1 million depending on playing incentives. Schwartz was a starter for the Giants last season before his injury. He will likely fill the role that Manny Ramirez held last season as the team’s primary backup.
