The Detroit Lions lost another corner in week two against the Carolina Panthers. Ironically for the second straight week it was their nickel corner. Rookie Nevin Lawson went down with an injury and was carted off. Once in the locker room, they examined him and determined he had a dislocated foot. He was rushed into emergency surgery to have it repaired. The early indication is that he will be done for the year. Detroit Lions reporter Tim Twentyman indicated that later today he should have an exact status on Lawson but he said the timetable looks to be season ending. That means for a second straight week, the Detroit Lions will be deciding who to sign at corner to fill the open spot.
