Detroit Lions Add Kaelin Clay To Practice Squad Cut Kendrick Ings

The Detroit Lions signed wide receiver and return specialist Kaelin Clay to their practice squad this week.  In a corresponding move, they let go of receiver Kendrick Ings who was just signed a week ago.  The addition of Clay allows them to not only evaluate him as a return specialist, but it also allows the team to practice against a return specialist and perfect their coverage units.  Clay, a former Utah player, is best known for prematurely celebrating a touchdown by dropping the ball before crossing the goal line, with the result being a fumble and not a touchdown.
