The Detroit Lions activated two of their injured star players this week. Both of which attended practice today in preparation for their week one game in two weeks against the San Diego Chargers. Haloti Ngata and Joique Bell were both cleared to practice and did so today. Ngata has not played since being acquired via trade due to injury. Bell, who had offseason surgery, also has yet to play this preseason. Both expected to play week one and this move allows that to happen.
Also at practice today were several injured players. Ezekiel Ansah, Kyle Van Noy, and Eric Ebron all practiced. Caraun Reid is out of his walking boot, making it look as if he is getting closer to returning. Newly acquired tight end Tim Wright was not at practice yet, but it is expected that he will be there tomorrow.
Currently our roster cut tracker shows that the Lions have cleared 10 spots on their roster and have 3 more to go.
