Detroit Lions 53 Man Roster Prediction And Rumors

In looking at the preseason performances thus far, and there is still one game to play, I feel pretty confident that I can make a relatively accurate stab at the 53 man roster.  I also want to mention a potential for this to change as Jason LaCanfora reported this morning that the Detroit Lions are making calls about trading for secondary help.  While that is not all that surprising, it could impact the 53 if a trade is made before the regular season.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford Dan Orlovsky Kellen Moore
Fullback Jed Collins
Running Back Reggie Bush Joique Bell Theo Riddick
Wide Receiver Calvin Johnson Golden Tate Jeremy Ross Ryan Broyles Kris Durham Kevin Ogletree
Tight End Brandon Pettigrew Joseph Fauria Eric Ebron
Tackle Riley Reiff LaAdrian Waddle Corey Hilliard Michael Williams
Guard Rob Sims Larry Warford Rodney Austin
Center Dominic Raiola Travis Swanson

Defensive End Ezekiel Ansah Devin Taylor Jason Jones Larry Webster  George Johnson
Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh Nick Fairley CJ Mosely Caraun Reid
Outside Linebacker DeAndre Levy Kyle Van Noy Tahir Whitehead Ashlee Palmer
Inside Linebacker Stephen Tulloch Travis Lewis
Corner Rashean Mathis Darius Slay Bill Bentley Nevin Lawson Cassius Vaughn Chris Greenwood
Safety Glover Quin James Ihedigbo Don Carey Jerome Couplin

Kicker Nate Freese
Punter Sam Martin
Long Snapper Don Muhlbach

Ths is my best guess at this point.  They could choose to keep less corners and less receivers but at this point, this is what I feel that the team will do.
